For me the Elephant Gun is not only one of the greatest weapons in the game, but one of the greatest sources of joy I have had as a gamer but it is not a long range weapon, and it does require practice to learn to use. #BORDERLANDS 2 SIR HAMMERLOCK DLC TOTUMS PLUS#On the plus side, the scenery is beautiful, there are several new monster types to fight, and the Elephant Gun (which is farmable from one of the bosses there) has been one of my staple weapons since the DLC's release. I was saddened by the DLC's brevity moving quickly, (for me at least) I can get through the main storyline in 4-6 hours. Although I still know very little about President Roosevelt, the Steampunk Naturalist archetype is important to me as well, so I have always liked Sir Hammerlock. I was very much looking forward to this DLC before it was released, since the main appeal of Borderlands 2 for me is as a hunting simulator. Sir Hammerlock's hat and moustache are very similar to Roosevelt's trademarks, as well. Its' red text is a reference to one of Roosevelt's quotes, and the weapon's name is what Roosevelt was called by one of his political rivals. This is most clearly seen with the Damned Cowboy assault rifle. The Hammerlock DLC (and Sir Hammerlock himself) is a tribute to the former American President Theodore Roosevelt. So if you don‘t know it‘s candlerakks crag, you either need to look it up online, or travel to hunters grotto, cause there it shows you the normal entrance to candlerakks crag (not the fast travel) #BORDERLANDS 2 SIR HAMMERLOCK DLC TOTUMS PS4#The dexi fight is the worst fight in my opinion, that‘s why i just did it once.Īnd also the vora mission is bugged on ps4 it doesn‘t show you to what map you have to travel for the vora fight. You also need to pay around 20-25 eridium for all 4 of them to spawn dexi (so around 80-100 eridium to spawn him), just to have an annoying fight. Those totems are on different locations, so you need to walk thru the entire map a few times to get to all of them. Then you have to run thru most of the map of candlerakks crag again to get to him befor you can farm him.įor dexidous you need to pay eridium on 4 totems on the map hunters grotto. Those missions are so annoying since you can‘t make those enemies spawn, you need to get lucky and the eggs mission is also tiering.Īnd the raid bosses are not just annoying to fight, but to get to them/get them to spawn is also annoying.įor voracidous you just need to run thru most of the map candlerakks crag which isn‘t too bad, but if you want to farm vora and need to run thru the entire map to kill him for the mission, then get back to the hut to turn it in. If you want to do all missions, you also need to do the one where you have to collect eggs and the one where you have to kill special enemies (like pink boroks). Then after you got the catch-a-boat station to work, you always have to run a long way from the hut to the station. #BORDERLANDS 2 SIR HAMMERLOCK DLC TOTUMS HOW TO#They couldn‘t figure out how to get to hammerlocks location even if it‘s pretty obvious. I‘ve seen enough people who thought they somehow need to jump all the way up to the wooden stair (the way from hammerlocks first location to the hut), to get to hammerlock. On the first mission you have to run across half the map to get to hammerlocks location and it can also be confusing how to get there. I'm thinking you'll be able to try to kill him as many times as you want until you either kill him or end the play session, unlike Hyperious and Master Gee, but I haven't tried yet.Well i dislike this dlc the most cause it just feels like you have to walk for ages and the raid bosses are damn annoying. Once all four are activated a switch can be pulled to spawn several waves of savages to fight, then, after killing them, you'll spawn Dexiduous the Invincible. It seems the "active" state of the ovens spans across play sessions too, if you save and quit the same totems are active/inactive (I think I noticed this, can anyone confirm?). So it sounds like it costs just under 100 Eridium to activate them all (though if you have party members you can split the cost). The final wave consists of two Super Badass Witch Doctors and several Badass Savages, and once they are killed, Dexiduous the Invincible will rise from the lake south of the switch. The lever requires no additional cost to activate, and once pulled, will begin to spawn waves of increasingly difficult savages. Once all totems have been activated, the final step is to throw the lever located just west of the lodge. The Eridium totems/furnaces/ovens are used to spawn Dexiduous the Invincible the hidden raid boss of Sir Hammerlock's DLC. ![]()
